It’s that time of year again folks! This coming Sunday, 9th of October 2016, I will be heading down to the datacentre where our server is hosted and perform a much-needed upgrade. During this time our website and Teamspeak server will be offline. I know this could inconvenience some people, but I am planning on performing this work during the middle of the day. This could change to a middle of the night job on Saturday with zero notice, it all depends on how things pan out. It would be best if you just expect Teamspeak to be down from Saturday night until Sunday evening.
Why will it take you so long to upgrade a server that’s in your house?
IT’S NOT IN MY HOUSE!
Has the server been running slow because your home internet isn’t very good?
THE SERVER ISN’T HOSTED FROM MY HOUSE!
By “datacentre”, do you mean bedroom?
URGH! For the last time, The server is not hosted from my house!
Why are you doing this now?
Finally, a serious question. The web server we are using has been in use now for over 6 years. It is old, underpowered, and unable to keep up with some of the more popular sites I run; UKCSGO.com for instance. This has caused very slow load times, and even server crashes.
